Black Sea starts the new season of the Bulgarian First League very promisingly, remaining unbeaten after two matchdays and having collected four points. The team is thus considered the clear favorite for the upcoming home match, although the home form is not quite optimal: In the previous season Black Sea lost 10 of 17 home games and therefore shows a certain vulnerability in front of their own fans. On the other hand, Beroe started the season with two draws and currently lies in the lower third of the table, indicating difficulties in offense. Nevertheless, Beroe has proven to be an annoying opponent in direct encounters and managed to secure at least a draw in three out of five matches against Black Sea. Additionally, Beroe's away record with 12 out of 18 games without defeat shows that the team can hold their own on foreign ground. Tactically, the duel is characterized by the defensive stability of both teams. The last six direct matches have featured relatively few goals, with a maximum of two goals per game. Also, in three of four games involving both teams this season, there were at most two goals scored, which suggests a cautious, rather defensively oriented match development. It will be important for Black Sea to prevent Beroe's counterattacks and to apply pressure early in order to take the lead, while Beroe relies on counterattacks and set pieces. Based on current form, home advantage, and favorite status in the game, betting on a win for Black Sea at the attractive odds of 1.58 is recommended. Despite the previously close encounters, better form on the day and home strength are likely the decisive advantages to secure the first home win of the season.
